For more than 85 years Safeway has been proudly serving Western Canada. As part of Sobeys Inc., which dates back to 1907 when J.W. Sobey began a local meat-delivery service, we proudly share in that tradition through our Local program. We build relationships with local suppliers and give them the opportunity to grow within our stores across Western Canada.
How to go into business with Safeway
Our Local Program allows local suppliers to grow at a sustainable pace within our network of stores. You can start out in less than five stores and work with our team to grow.
Local Program Requirements:
- Your products are made right here in Canada.
- You are locally producing items that will wow and excite our customers.
- Your products are regionally relevant in a local market.
- Your product is packaged and ready to be sold.
